The annual Gettysburg National 19th Century Base Ball Festival is held over two days in mid-July. Teams from across the country participate in 1864 styled base ball games. The festival is held at Schroeder Farm on 965 Pumping Station Road in Gettysburg, PA, the site of the filming of the movie Gettysburg, as well several battle re-enactments. It was founded in 2009 with the first festival held in 2010.
The 2019 festival will feature a record 24 clubs from 11 states competing in 48 matches over 2 days.
