Samsons Manufacturing Company, Inc. is the Warehouse and Distribution Division of a family-owned Home Textile wholesaler, with a broad customer base in brick and mortar and e-commerce. For 90 years, we have been supplying retail with quality soft window products.

We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated team player as our Senior Software Developer. The Senior Software Developer is responsible for developing and supporting web-based applications at Galaxy Distribution Center which support the entire enterprise. This includes warehouse management (WMS), Pick & Pack, and financial reporting applications. The Senior Software Developer is fully integrated with all teams at the Distribution Center and collaborates closely with management and the Distribution Center IT Department. This position reports to the Director of IT.

The ideal candidate will have at 3-5 years of experience with web application development and 2-3 years of experience with backend and API development and SQL programming among other database programming skill sets. ERP/WMS system knowledge is preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associate’s degree combined with hands-on work experience. Must possess the ability to collaborate actively and effectively on cross-functional teams.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and support current applications, including WMS, Pick & Pack, and reporting applications
• Modernize and update legacy applications
• Develop Unit and End to End Tests to validate application logic
• Ability to troubleshoot through complex IT-related issues
• Data Management and Maintenance
• In cooperation with the end user, test application software to assure accuracy, integrity, inter-operability, and completeness to achieve desired results
• Analyze reasons for failure and revise programs and/or procedures as necessary

PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING:

• Independently develop creative and unique solutions to user changes
• Timely implementation of application software
• Proactively monitor the performance of application software and make approved changes to improve operating efficiency and effectiveness
• Proactively diagnose and correct application software problems and improve operating performance
• Work with IT team to identify opportunities to improve operating effectiveness and efficiency of applications and business processes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's or bachelor's degree; or in lieu of a degree, a combination of equivalent education and hands-on work experience
• C# - 5+ years of experience with web application development
• Angular (modern web frameworks), React, Vue, etc. (Angular framework is preferred)
• API - 3+ years of experience with backend and API development
• ASP.Net or similar backend frameworks
• SQL Programming - 2+ years of experience in MS SQL Server relational databases, T-SQL, Store procedures, and Server Functions
• Proficient communication (written and verbal) and a willingness and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• ERP / WMS system knowledge/experience is a plus

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
