Summary
Primary function for the Occupational Therapist is provide exceptional Occupational Therapy evaluations, treatment plans, and treatment to children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Duties/Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with multi-disciplinary team (ABA and SLP) to provide clinically appropriate evaluations, treatment plans, and Occupational Therapy treatment to children within our center(s).

o Occupational Therapy services include activities for daily living (ADLs), perceptual/sensory motor, gross motor, fine motor skills.

• Provide one on one services to children and their caregivers with the utmost clinical integrity.

• Review children’s medical history and evaluate condition and need as clinically appropriate.

• Record timely and accurate notes on child’s progress for evaluations, billing, and medical records while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.

• Follow standard and conduct as outlined by InBloom and the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

• None

Education and Experience

• Master’s Degree (or Doctorate) in Occupational Therapy
• Unrestricted state license in state where services are being performed.
• Certified with the NBCOT (National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy)
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with providing diagnostic assessments and/or therapy services to pediatric patients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder strongly preferred.
• Medicaid credentialed provider strongly preferred.
• A positive and kind attitude at all times.

Work environment

• Noise Level is moderate to loud

Physical demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods of standing or moving with children.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.

Travel required

• Minimal, less than 10%
