1.0 Scope
· The Human Resources Manager oversees the development, implementation, and coordination of policies and programs covering employment, labor relations, performance management, wage and salary administration, after hire care, training, placement, health benefits, and other employee services. In addition, requires a strong working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, procedures, policies, requirements and other applicable safety state/federal statutes and regulations.
2.0 Specific Duties
· Strategic development and deployment of Human Resource and Safety policies and procedures.
· Ensure company strategic intent is exemplified by all staff members by helping the team understand the values of Adams Thermal Systems.
· Directs employment activities, assuring that properly qualified employees are recruited, hired, and onboarded for all company positions.
· Oversees and participates with plant supervision in disciplinary or termination proceedings involving individuals.
· Leads and is accountable for all performance management system activities including goals setting, performance measures, and performance improvement activities.
· Develops and administers employee training programs to assure maximum effectiveness of employees; develops programs of employee appraisal and review to assure that employee performance is evaluated and that employees are aware of their evaluation.
· Accountable for affirmative action program files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
· Develops and monitors departmental budget for company guidelines.
· This is a working managers position.
3.0 Reporting Structure
The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the President.
4.0 Required Skills / Experience(s) / Education / Certification
· Degree in Human Resources Management, or equivalent preferred.
· Five to ten years+ in a key Human Resources position.
· Minimum of five years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Experience in leading and participating in a Human Resources organization
· SPHR (Senior Professional of Human Resources) and/or GPHR (Global Professional of Human Resources) certification preferred.
· Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety standards including Workers’ Compensation requirements.
· A strong understanding of people and their problems and a sense of fairness and consistency are a must.
· Position requires; a high level of energy and the ability to cope with variable levels of stress, including strong leadership, and decision-making skills.
· Self-starter, detail oriented with excellent organizational and interface skills with the ability to communicate both through written and verbal communication with company employees at all levels.
· Must present self as a role model to demonstrate high standards of performance, tact, tolerance, and personal integrity.
