POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for management, execution, and delivery of local HR support and services for corporate office and plant operations. Assures operations and deliverables meet or exceed objectives, follow corporate and operational strategies.

• Manages HR activities such as recruiting, performance management, and performance management efforts.
• Develops and administers company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.
• Promotes positive employee relations through design, communication, and interpretation of human resources policies and programs.
• Dedicates face to face time to support employees through interaction and feedback.
• Maintain functional knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Partner with management and supervisors regarding coaching, disciplinary actions, investigations and terminations.
• Support performance management and employee development through performance appraisals, career planning, job descriptions, career reviews.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Responsible for the reporting and metrics for the HR department
• Manage supplemental activities such as community outreach, employee events, etc.
• Handle escalated and/or sensitive requests and issues then escalate to CEO.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Business or a related field
• 7+ years HR functional experience required (HR systems, recruiting, compensation, benefits, learning, employee reporting); preferably in a generalist role or an equivalent combination of qualifying education & experience
• Manufacturing Site HR Leadership Experience
• Proven ability to partner with and advise leaders on HR issues
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• A self-starter with the ability to successfully handle multiple projects
• Strong people leadership skills and demonstrated track record of success leading initiatives
• Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity to compliance-related matters
• Ability to influence others, identify problems, and recommend a course of action
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with HR technologies and systems, ADP Workforce Now, Applicant Tracking Systems.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE:

The Human Resources Manager will report to the CEO/President. He/she will work with various departments outside set goals and action plans to achieve the departmental and corporate goals.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Standard office environment in a temperature controlled office, with normal air contaminants, such as dust, typically found in an office setting.
• Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.)
• Position requires occasional, prolonged periods of standing and walking distances inside the plant.
• All employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include noise/hearing protection and safety glasses with side shields while in the manufacturing facilities.
• Type and read on a computer; communicate in person, on telephone, through written correspondence. May require standing, stooping, reaching, pushing and pulling.
• All offers of Employment are conditioned upon successfully passing a drug test and background check.
