The Sr. Accountant will be a key team member performing analysis and taking part in planning and support for Finance, Manufacturing and Sales Departments. Manager will also analyze data and trends to provide Teams with actionable data metrics and forecasting guidance. This role is deeply involved planning and executing the company’s strategic vision and working with and supporting top executives. Sr. Accountant directs activities of tracking sales forecasts, contribution margin analyses, manufacturing variances, cost roll up, inventory analyses valuations, and variances. Additionally, this position will utilize customer information to prepare actionable cash flow forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly sales results to help develop Low – Medium – High forecasts
• Review sales trends by product to help identify growth opportunities
• Monitor and evaluate inventory flow from supplier through production line. Analyze inventory discrepancies and clear all negative inventory balances daily
• Ensure validity of ERP through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production, and work order processing
• With Accounting Manager build and monitor cash flow projections
• Responsible for month-end close of inventory and work-in-process in ERP modules, prepare journal entries if necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward
• Validate the COGS as part of the month-end close procedures. Prepare contribution margin analysis by customer/product monthly, analyze any variances
• Assist with financial reviews / audits
• Assist with Cash flow tracking and projections
• Work on special projects such as
• Inventory usage and forecasting
• Purchase order outlays and payment schedules
• Production budgets
• Sales by customer and by machine
• Other special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Accounting, Financial Planning or Analysis for Manufacturing company
• Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting principles, general accounting concepts, and technical and financial accounting concepts
• Financial analysis skills.
• Problem solving with independent, strong analytical skills, and critical thinking.
• Advanced understanding of ERP software and relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Operations Management.
• MBA a plus
• Self-starter, meticulous, results driven, able to manage multiple priorities by planning and organizing, effective communicator and able to grasp new concepts and technological tools.
• Strong planning, forecasting & presentations skills
• Strong software expertise: QuickBooks, ERP System, MS Access, Excel, Work, Powerpoint
• Able to create dashboards, KPI charts, and trend graphs
• Exceptional management skills, including motivating, coaching, performance management and budgeting
• Ability to work independently and the skill to interact with all levels and departments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
