Responsible for month-end and year-end general ledger close, the 401k plan, ESOP, office payroll processing, payroll tax returns and payments, oversight of AP, AR, driver payroll, and other duties as needed while ensuring all are processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with GAAP and government regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist monthly and yearly general ledger close in accordance with GAAP and company deadlines

o Prepare and post journal entries

o Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts

o Compile monthly work papers

Manage the ESOP and 401K plans

o Process all forms for new hires, changes, terminations, loans, and withdrawals

o Submit monthly contributions

o Maintain all records

o Prepare quarterly reports and annual census

o Provide records and documentation to auditors

Prepare Daily Revenue Report

Prepare Weekly Office/Shop Payroll

o Enter payroll updates including new hires, terminations, benefits, garnishments, taxes and changes to pay rates.

o Maintain attendance records for office and shop employees.

o Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.

Process and submit weekly payroll tax deposits and quarterly tax returns

o Federal and State tax withheld

o FUI and SUI

Prepare quarterly Workers Compensation payroll report.

Print and distribute W-2’s and 1099 forms annually.

Prepare and file various equipment tax forms such as Federal Highway Use Tax (2290), and various federal, state, and property tax returns.

Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· General Ledger account reconciliation

· Journal Entries, Month-End and Year-End close

· 401K administration(a plus)

· ESOP management(a plus)

· Extensive knowledge of payroll functions and payroll taxes.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.

· At least three to five years of related experience required.

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
