ACCOUNTING CLERK

JOB DESCRIPTION:

***This is a temporary position that may become permanent**** The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for routine daily accounting functions and keeping financial records updated.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record journal entries and maintain asset and liability schedules.
• Resolve inquiries and answer questions regarding entries and postings.
• Prepare bank deposits and reconcile cash.
• Review and process employee expense reports.
• Prepare entries for corporate taxes such as sales/use, property, regulatory, and product taxes and ensure they are completed and paid accurately on a timely basis.
• Assist management in projects.
• Keep information confidential and secure according to company policies.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Effective communication/comprehension skills - verbal and written.
• High level of skill with Microsoft Excel, including lookups and pivot tables.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize and meet time sensitive deadlines.
• Ability to analyze problems, collect data, determine root cause, and provide solutions.

Education and/or Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or University.
• Minimum 2 years related work experience.
• Mid-size company experience required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $32.00 per hour

Physical setting:

• Office

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
