Job Description :

FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for member marketing of the credit union and a knowledge of all services offered to a degree that will enable answering questions, or referring member for specific services.
  • Design, maintain, and administer computer and voice networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
  • Analyze data from reporting sources to identify issues with network security, network, server, or desktop components. Notifying the Information Services Manager of any deviations from accepted normal operations and making corrections where appropriate.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Document system configurations, network designs, and system changes
  • Assist in creating the daily operations checklist including data backups, and operational procedures.
  • Create system recovery documentation that clearly describes the steps necessary in recovering from system failures or disasters.
  • Continuing education to stay abreast of changes in security best practices, and maintain current required certifications.
  • Project Management of network related projects including scope of work, design documents, project milestones, and work breakdown.
  • Interface with staff, vendors, and consultants to resolve problems.
  • Provide the Information Services Manager with reports regarding progress made and results achieved in all areas of responsibility.
  • Recommend policies and procedures to assist the credit union in meeting its goals and objectives to the Information Services Manager.
  • Assists the Information Services Manager as needed.

PREREQUISITES FOR THIS POSITION

  • Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or 6 years of comparable working experience in network design or windows directory services design.
  • Minimum Experience: Strong working knowledge configuration of firewalls, ips, routers, switches, modems, secure network design, network security monitoring, PC’s, current Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments, VOIP, and network enterprise management.
  • Required Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP). Higher level certifications may be substituted for the required certifications. Certifications must be met within one year of employment, unless already met.
  • Personal Characteristics and Skills: Must be of the highest integrity; be in good health and with personal habits above reproach. Must practice confidentiality. Must be a mature person with sound judgment. Must have a high degree of self-motivation, organizational skills, and be able to work independently with the ability to make sound decisions. Must be able to take directions and seek the council of supervisor as necessary. Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
  • Working Conditions: Continuous alertness, precision, and concentration to ensure accuracy. Continuous alertness of surroundings for security purposes. May require performing basic numeric calculations, as well as writing, reading, comparing and analyzing. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. This position may require extended or irregular hours. Continuous standing and/or sitting for long periods of time when performing duties related to this position. Occasional bending, squatting or kneeling. Occasional reaching above shoulder level to reach supplies overhead. Continuous speaking and hearing for interactions with members and co-workers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $98,000.00 per year
