Position Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Provide input to the development of insurance and employee benefit strategies.
· Administer and execute KEES human resource programs:
o Payroll
o Employee Benefits
o Performance and Talent Management
o Recognition, Morale, and Team Building
· Develop HR related KPI’s and utilize them to improve department and company performance.
· Identify where technology can improve KEES ability to manage HR processes and help drive implementation.
· Reviews job descriptions, policies and practices to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
· Handles routine labor relations and human resource inquiries related to policies, procedures, the collective bargaining agreement.
· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Maintain employee personnel records.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Strong problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
· Familiar with modern HRIS or ERP software
· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
· At least 2 years of Human Resource Generalist experience preferred.
· Prior experience working in a Union environment a plus.
· SHRM-CP a plus.
