The Business Risk Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role within the Fiduciary Oversight Group. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making recommendations. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information.

Fiduciary Oversight monitors business and investment management activities to ensure compliance with account mandates, relevant laws, regulations and corporate and fiduciary policies. All issues are communicated and escalated to the appropriate level of management to ensure timely resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with team members and business partners to ensure that all fiduciary issues are identified and resolved timely, and in accordance with governing rules, regulations and industry best practices.
  • Update policies and procedures to reflect the current investment guideline monitoring environment.
  • Work with Technology and the business, as required, to ensure that Fiduciary Oversight has the necessary tools to manage its processes.
  • Prepare material and take minutes for ongoing oversight meetings.
  • Attend periodic meetings, including the Fiduciary Review Committee, with senior management and control function partners.
  • Work closely with business partners on findings and make recommendations on improving practices.
  • Research and analyze exceptions to identify underlying cause and report and escalate appropriately.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with the various risk and control systems and reporting requirements
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized, and adaptive.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years relevant experience in risk, compliance, audit, or regulatory functions.
  • Project management skills.
  • Problem solver with the ability to translate plans to actions
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
