Position Summary
Qualified candidate will work Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. Intern will work together with Product Design team on designs for software development projects for Smith & Associates. Interns need to interact effectively with upper management & staff, as well as work independently and as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or other design-related field
  • Experience with a variety of design, wire-framing, and prototyping tools (e.g. Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • A design portfolio demonstrating design principles for web and/or mobile platforms.
  • Effective analytical, creative, and visual thinker with excellent verbal and visual communication skills
Responsibilities May Include:
  • Present design ideas to multiple stakeholders and clearly communicate your rationale, logic, and research as supporting evidence for well thought out design decisions.
  • Participate in all aspects of the design process, from concept to implementation and all steps in between.
  • Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction of an application and experiences.
  • Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Participate in peer design critiques to give and receive feedback.
This is an hourly position and the rate is $15/hr.
The internship dates are Monday, June 5th – Friday, July 28th.
