School Based Services Therapist (SBS)

Eligible to earn monthly incentives

School Based Services (SBS) provides comprehensive behavioral services for youth and their families through a collaboration with the school district. The idea is to provide youth help to address behavioral and mental health concerns and bring together the family and the school in how best to address and support the youth.

Therapists may provide individual therapy, family therapy and/or group therapy to help process the mental health concerns, and facilitate the youth, family and schools in supporting interventions to help the youth thrive. School Based Services allows therapists to truly make a sustainable difference in the lives of young people through a broad wraparound approach. SBS focuses on equipping therapists with evidence-based modalities to empower youth and families in reaching their goals. SBS therapists work closely with an SBS Interventionist to coordinate care and support the youth, families and schools.

Touchstone can provide clinical supervision and licensure hours for therapists and counselors looking to obtain their independent licenses. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, marriage and family, social work or related behavioral health field

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Valid Arizona Driver’s License;

• Must possess an AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card or be eligible for one

• Proficient with MS Office Products, email, internet and basic database navigation

Essential Functions

• Provides group, individual and family therapy as indicated for Touchstone members utilizing best practices in school and/or in home, in office or via telehealth.

• Facilitates and participates in Child and Family Teams (CFT) according to the AZ Practice Model.

• Conducts assessments, treatment plans, discharge reports and other necessary documentation.

• Completes all required clinical documentation and reports within a timely manner of the service date.

• Responds to crisis in a timely manner according to determined procedure.

• Collaborates and coordinates with school officials and personnel on wraparound care for the youth enrolled in Touchstone SBS program. Goal is to improve behavior, sustain successful treatment outcomes, and provide schools and families with tools necessary to support the youth in maintaining their emotional health.

• Communicate and collaborates treatment with student’s parents, school staff and any Touchstone staff or external provider for coordinated care including participating in any school or IEP meetings.
