Staff Accountant

Totally Chocolate is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team.

Job Functions / Responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting operations to facilitate the Controller being able to accurately and timely prepare financial statements, tax returns, budgets and other Board of Director’s requirements.
• Including: accounts payable entry and reconciliation; processing customer invoices, credit card payments, bank deposits; assist with payroll and HR; provide customer service and answer customer and vendor billing questions; other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• At least five years’ experience in accounting, including extensive experience with A/R, A/P, and Payroll.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to stay on schedule and meet tight organizational deadlines.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and to prioritize under deadlines.
• Able to demonstrate attention to detail, good record keeping and problem solving.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills. Microsoft Great Plains experience a plus.
• Team player who can collaborate with other teams in the organization.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Prior accounting experience with a manufacturing company a plus.

Experience:

• 3+ years hands on general accounting experience, or combination of education and experience.

Pay Range: $25-$30 per hour DOE
