Cleveland Steel Container, employee-owned company, a leader in the steel pail industry, is seeking a mature, responsible, customer oriented individual that share the values of our company culture that is built around teamwork, family, honest communication and producing desirable results for our Corporate Headquarters in Hudson, OH.

This position is responsible for the preparation of Financial Statements and other functions related to them.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create required journal entries to the General Ledger.
• Accurately prepare the monthly Financial Statements and publish by the 4th workday of the month.
• Analyze Financial Statements and prepare analysis report.
• Prepare monthly General Ledger account reconciliations for Balance Sheet Accounts.
• Perform Year End Account Reconciliations.
• Work with an outside audit team and provide information per their requests.
• Work with Supply Chain and Inventory team to audit physical inventory counts at warehouse locations across the country.
• Prepare all Government mandated information reports.
• Assist with Special Projects as needed.
• Some travel to outside sites to assist with projects and inventories may be required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Management Experience, a plus
• Detail oriented with strong organization, communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal and listening skills. Demonstrated ability to embrace and adapt to change.
• Proven ability in handling multiple priorities and details in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment while always maintaining professional image
• Oracle experience; a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
• Good work record; Strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively in teams; demonstrated ability to assimilate information quickly and a deep desire to learn and succeed.
