The Opportunity

The Senior Testing and Monitoring Analyst is responsible for conducting in depth analysis of weekly and monthly exception reporting within Ally Card. Responsibilities include identifying operational weaknesses, risk within processes and controls, training needs and overall deficiencies, as well as monitoring out of tolerance conditions, conducting customer level research, and developing remediation/process optimizations. documenting and reporting results of the reviews in a timely manner as well as providing feedback and identifying process improvements. Additional responsibilities include collaboration and consultation with vendors, Card Managers and other Card Leaders regarding current control issues and activities, as well as assisting in the development of written procedures and new controls.

The Work Itself

  • Conduct ongoing Ad Hoc testing and monitoring of Card processes to drive oversite of operational weaknesses, risks, and control deficiencies.
  • Provide feedback to vendors and Card Managers , identifying root causes and capturing remediation plans, ensuring all is properly documented in their reviews.
  • Track action items from remediation plans to ensure timeliness.
  • Maintain accurate and complete review results that clearly document all findings and possible risk.
  • Assist with the development of written procedures for all reviews.
  • Assess current control reporting to ensure effectiveness of the company’s operational, compliance and regulatory practices.
  • Assist with management requests as necessary.

The Skills You Bring

  • 2-3 years of banking operations experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Experience in collaborating to identify and validate controls preferred.
  • Experience with testing and monitoring of operational processes preferred.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based PC skills (Microsoft Office) is required.
  • Ability to multi-task and to effectively process diverse workloads concurrently
  • Excellent communication, organizational and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized individual with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
