We are looking for exceptional people to provide extraordinary care as a PRN Retail Pharmacist.

The Retail Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing outpatient medication orders including: compounding and dispensing of medications, medication order entry, performing prospective DUR, recommendations for pharmaceutical alternatives, provision of patient counseling, and delivery of the prescription to the patient. The position requires professionalism when interacting with patients and staff. The Retail Pharmacist will educate staff and patients on medication related information.

Hours: PRN (as needed), Monday – Friday between the hours of 6:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Proficient in medication order entry utilizing retail pharmacy software. This includes the analysis of patient allergies/adverse drug reactions, and concomitant therapies in regard to medications ordered.
• Provide medication counseling to patients and their families.
• Provide education to staff in regards to retail pharmacy services. This includes process updates, inventory shortages, and any additional information related to medication and pharmacy services.
• Verify receipt of all controlled substances purchased and ordered, and aid in maintaining proper narcotic record sheets and waste reports.

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy License must be in good standing as a registered pharmacist in the state of Nebraska.
• Current BLS required at time of hire.
• Experience as a pharmacist
