NYSERDA seeks a creative, self-motivated, and knowledgeable individual to be responsible for energy sector modeling and analyses, with a focus on the buildings sector. The selected candidate should have strong quantitative analysis, energy sector modeling, and communication skills as well as project management experience.
This position will support energy market analysis, building decarbonization analysis, and tracking of alternative energy market trends as part of the Energy Markets team within Energy and Environmental Analysis. The Energy Markets program monitors the State of New York’s energy supply, evaluates energy workforce trends, and supports broader NYSERDA efforts to transition away from natural gas and other fossil fuels. The successful candidate will provide leadership for NYSERDA’s ongoing efforts to model, evaluate, and develop new clean energy transition policies, with a special focus on building electrification and decarbonization while continuing to center energy affordability and reliability. This position will also support intelligence gathering around conventional and alternative energy and the current state of energy markets in New York. This position will feature ongoing internal collaboration with NYSERDA teams along with external coordination with the New York State Department of Public Service (DPS) and utilities across the state.
The salary range is $71,685 - $120,156. Candidates will be considered based on qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is offered.
