Project Manager

Preference Employment Solutions is now searching for a Project Manager to join a local leader in construction and development. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of the construction process from conception to completion, including budgeting, facilitating design construction, and closeout. Type: Direct Hire; Full Time
Compensation: $100k+/year

Position Overview:

· Prepare project budgets for new construction.

· Manage the day-to-day scheduling and workload for construction projects.

· Solicit subcontractor estimates and assist with contracts/LOIs.

· Track and manage daily workflow for construction projects, including daily communication, RFIs, COs, etc.

· Perform site visits to monitor job progress.

· Assist drafters with construction drawings.

Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:

· Must have a minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience that includes retail, education, multi-family, government, hospitality, health care, or similar commercial construction projects

· Must be willing to travel a few times per month

· Proven project management skills within the commercial construction field

· Extensive prior experience reading construction plans and specifications

· Adept at handling multiple projects/tasks at the same time

· Capable of reading and understanding legal documents and contracts
