A commercial Print and Packaging company located in the San Fernando Valley, is looking for an experienced, energetic, diligent, and well-organized Pressroom Manager to join our company.

Position Summary
The Press Room Manager will supervise the press room to ensure the production of the highest quality product. Meeting company performance standards, and customer specifications, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Must have prior UV Printing experience. Directly supervise the press room staff to ensure the production of the highest quality product.
• Coordinate the production and planning of jobs with the pre‐press department.
• Analyze press room operations and recommend methods and processes to improve productivity and quality.
• Coordinate the scheduling and supervision of press maintenance.
• Coordinate/Innovate research and development activities in the press room.
• Act as a technical resource to the department and customers to address and resolve inquiries.
• Ensure the training of new and present employees in the processes and methods required to achieve the company's standards for quality, quantity and safety, and consistent with the company's principles.
• Analyze actual expenditures against budget and report on any variance.
• Participate on cross functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality.
• Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes in the industry.
• Ensure the completion of all required records, paperwork, documents, etc
• Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of KOMORI sheet fed Press’s
• Knowledge of UV printing
• Knowledge of the paper/printing industry
• Excellent eye for color
• Working Knowledge of PSI, MS Office, AutoCAD and Purchasing Software
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Analytical and Critical Mindset
• Outstanding Organizational Skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
