Merlin Day Academy is Eyas Landing's newest innovative program designed to provide education and therapeutic intervention in a supportive classroom environment.

We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team of top pediatric specialists for a full-time caseload. Ideal candidates should be interested in developing their clinical skills using evidence-based practice in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative setting through one-on-one and group sessions with children and adolescents, and providing family support through direct service.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a caseload of therapy groups, individual therapy sessions and daily case management tasks.
• Completes daily treatment notes, daily data input and analysis, initial and annual evaluations, plan of care documents to update goals and other documentation as needed within required time frame.
• Implements Eyas Landing curriculum and to theories of practice models supporting Eyas Landing's therapeutic model.
• Participates in on-going collaboration with the client's team and family including weekly emails, phone calls and in person discussions.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with clients and families by providing parent education, home programs, and parent support as needed.
• Collaborates with scheduling team to manage caseload requirements.
• Creates visual schedules, social stories, and home programs to help support therapy goals.
• Participates in required supervision meetings for first six months of employment and as needed per discretion of supervisor.
• Participate in all required company orientation, professional development days and ongoing trainings as required.
• Actively participates in monthly staff meetings, department meetings and as needed team meetings.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Licensed Physical Therapist with Doctorate Degree
• Physical Therapy Assistant with Bachelors Degree
• Experience working with children and/or clients with special needs preferred. Extensive training and mentorship provided.

Eyas Landing is an outpatient, multidisciplinary pediatric therapy clinic. Our Merlin Day Academy program provides students with autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neuro-diverse learning needs ages 6 to 14 an intensive, individualized educational environment that cultivates relationship-based, family-centered care to strengthen educational and functional skills for students to become active, successful participants in their community. Our collaborative team of therapists and educators provide special education and occupational therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), developmental therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, language therapy, nutrition, and feeding therapy services.

We're expanding in West Loop and our brand-new facility in Avondale, and our sister companies (Eyas Landing & Blue Bird Day Program) support families in West Loop, Northcenter, and Wheaton.
