Journeyman/Journeywoman Painter
Powers Painting & Decorating is looking for experienced full-time employees that take great pride in their work and have a keen eye for detail. Painting requires physical stamina and the ability to work under varied and potentially difficult conditions. Pay depends on experience.

Job Description: Demonstrate a courteous, and professional attitude dealing with residents. Safely perform drywall repairs and patching. Have strong knowledge of paint and stain products, and paint and stain application techniques. Read and comprehend work order details regarding project scope and material budgets.

Responsibilities:

• Examine the area to be painted and assess the required techniques, tools, materials, and budget
• Prepare and protect all surfaces in the work area
• Apply primer, paint, and finishes to surfaces
• Moves necessary materials around the job site as assigned.
• Communicate with the client throughout the process to ensure expectations are met
• Make recommendations for improving work output
• Clean up your work area at the end of each day and upon project completion

Necessary Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous residential and/or commercial painting experience
• Experience with a range of painting tools and techniques
• Proficient in painting, spraying, and drywall repair
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Physical strength and manual dexterity
• Reliable work ethic and time management skills
• Reliable transportation

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with light carpentry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
