Seeking full-time licensed nurse practitioner to work in a busy outpatient cardiology office based in Suffolk County, NY. Full time includes 4 10- hour shifts per week, 7a-5p. Must be able to travel to all offices (Smithtown and Bayshore). NP will work closely with cardiologists in office and perform a broad range of functions necessary for the care of adult cardiology patients. Responsibilities include managing patient phone calls, medication refills, interpretation of results, and consulting with doctors for management of patient care. NP will also work closely with doctor in office to assist with EMR input, chart review, documentation and placing orders. NP will also work with electrophysiologist on scheduled days in office for device interrogation. Responsibilities will also include remote monitoring of devices and post- operative wound checks. Must maintain all required professional documentation , such as license, certifications, infection control, ACLS/BLS as well as system requirements. Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner program is required. Current license to practice as a registered professional nurse and a nurse practitioner in New York State. Salary commensurate with experience. EMR experience required, EPIC experience is a plus. Cardiology experience strongly preferred.
