Raging Waves Waterpark is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager who will be a crucial member of Illinois’ Largest Waterpark as a year-round, salaried employee.

Sitting on 58 acres in Yorkville, IL, Raging Waves is a family-owned and run business that is an over 20 year dream come to life. The next Marketing Manager of Illinois’ Largest Waterpark will be tasked with promoting the brand through the Chicago area. Responsibilities will include:

• Drive new business to Illinois’ Largest Waterpark through an integrated marketing plan
• Oversee all areas of the marketing department including digital communications, media planning, creative, group sales, event execution, guest services and more.
• Responsible for the management of outside third-party agencies including media, public relations, and graphic designers.
• Work with the community and businesses to build cross-promotional partnerships to drive new business to the park.
• Plan and execute all on and off-site entertainment and marketing activities.
• Manage the internal creative direction of the company, including brand strategy campaigns and graphic design projects.
• Update and manage day-to-day edits of a WordPress hosted site.
• Update and manage all social media
• Manage and lead seasonal staff of marketing and sales interns/associates.
• As a member of the Raging Waves Management Team, the Marketing Manager will assist park operations.
• Manage and lead Guest Service Team
• Handle all guest phone calls & e-mails while ensuring guest satisfaction
• Ability to multi task and work in fast paced environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in marketing, preferably within the entertainment/attractions industry
• 5+ years guest service experience
• Skills in Adobe Suite including Photoshop & Illustrator
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills necessary
• Position requires evenings/weekend hours during summer season
• Experience with Ticketing and POS Systems (Convergence)
