Focus Upward is hiring licensed clinicians throughout Colorado (PhD, PsyD, LCSW or Licensed Mental Health Counselor. We are an in person and telehealth practice based in Lakewood. We are very flexible with this hybrid model and value work/life balance. We want to work with you to create your ideal schedule and caseload.

We are looking for two therapist position for our growing practice: One position for a therapist passionate about trauma-based work, as well as taking an integrative approach. The other position for a therapist passionate about working with children and teens. Bonus if the therapist for either of these positions is interested in having several couples on their caseload, but not a requirement. We also welcome individuals with anxiety and mood disorders, co-occurring substance use disorders, grief and adjustment issues, substance abuse issues and relationship issues. Though we offer EMDR and IFS/attachment based models, we are also big believers that every client is different with different needs; there’s no “one size fits all”, so integrating a variety of models and approaches that cater to the specific client is what we prioritize. We see individuals starting from childhood to seniors, LGBTQIA+ populations, individuals from all cultural backgrounds and differently abled individuals. We strive to continue to fight for equality and advocacy, and different ways of doing therapy and thinking outside the box.

We also pride ourselves in offering services that are financially accessible yet also value the clinician’s time and skill. We accept most insurances, so long as they offer a rate that pays our clinicians what we believe they are worth (we strive for reimbursement rates that are competitive with the current market).

All insurance credentialing, marketing, web page photos, HIPAA compliant electronic workspace and email, HIPAA compliant phone and EMR are all included. We’ll not only help you write your bio for your web pages and Psychology Today profiles, but will help you better understand what you uniquely bring to the table as a clinician so you stand out and sound like a real person. We offer both individual and group consultation on a bi-weekly basis, but more as needed as complex cases/crises arise.

4 day work weeks are not just encouraged for our full time clinicians, they are required. We want to make sure that you have plenty of space in your life for balance, so you can bring yourself into your work from an energized and intentional space.

CEU stipend after 90 days, and a yearly bonus. After a year, opportunity to be upgraded to a W-2 employee with benefits.

Part-Time:

15-18 clients/week

Full Time:

21-24 clients/week---we really don’t want you to burn yourselves out.
