We are looking for a lead software developer with a passion for technology and innovation to join our team. This position will be essential to the creation and maintenance of our software applications by taking a lead role in planning, development, implementation, and support.

For background, our IT department has custom designed and developed our internal systems for over 20 years. This includes the applications we use for everything from accounting and purchasing to estimating and scheduling.

Along with designing and creating our internal systems, this position will also serve as a general IT lead for the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee ongoing development projects to ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness goals are met.
• Gather user requirements and translate those requirements into functional and/or technical specifications for development.
• Analyze current business processes and propose improvements.
• Develop, test and deploy programs and applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing software.
• Perform code reviews and offer guidance to other developers, as needed.
• Assist in infrastructure planning, as it relates to keeping applications running optimally.
• Assist with general end-user support and other duties as required.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience developing back-end web systems using .NET technologies including C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and related technologies.
• 5+ years of database experience, Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
• Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.
• Extensive experience developing front-end web interfaces using HTML5, CSS, Javascript, and related technologies.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback on software code.
• Comprehensive understanding of software development life cycle.
• Demonstrated software repository skills, preferably with Git.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Experience in HVAC industry or design HVAC IT systems a plus.
• Knowledge of Active Directory administration a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
