We are currently seeking an experienced Design Department Manager to lead our team of talented designers. This individual will be responsible for maintaining our high standards for design quality while meeting deadlines and keeping on budget for all landscape architecture projects. They will also have amazing design talent, attention to detail, and the ability to train our team of designers to have the same. This is a full-time position working in our beautiful Bellevue office.

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail

• Expert level proficiency in AutoCAD and proficient in Sketch up, Adobe suite and Microsoft products

• Ability to develop designs and create solutions from concept through construction

• Expert level landscape design experience and horticulture experience

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or similar preferred

• 5-8+ years of experience with design-build landscape company

• 2+ years of experience as a design manager in a design-build landscape company.

• Strong background and success with project and people management

• Excellent hand & computer graphic skills

• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills

• Technical knowledge and ability to produce construction documents, including site details, materials selection, grading, and planting plans

• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage the Landscape Architecture team to ensure quality of work, as well as meeting all applicable deadlines and budgets.

• Oversee all active Landscape Architecture projects within the firm.

• Perform internal Quality Reviews on all Landscape projects.

• Track quality, reviews, and statistics to develop analytical data.

• Maintain a leading-edge knowledge of sustainable site concepts and master planning principles.

• Pursue and maintain professional licensure and professional affiliations

Compensation & Other Information:

$70k-$100k+/year DOE + Full Benefits (Health Care, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Holidays, Vacation, and 401k)

$1,000 Signing bonus: two $250 BONUSES (after 90 days/180 days), and one $500 BONUS at one year of employment!
