Inside Sales Representative

Central Plumbing Specialties is an established, plumbing and heating wholesale distributor and retailer in the NYC market since 1963. In addition, we have five decorative plumbing fixture and accessory showrooms in NYC, Yonkers & Rockland County. The specialty in ‘Specialties’ — we carry many first-class manufacturers’ products that we keep in our in-depth stock, featuring domestic material. Our reputation is based our commitment to our valued People and our Customers.

Job Responsibilities

o Establish and develop new customers, sales opportunities and maintain positive business relationships

o Provide consultative approach to identify client’s needs and service throughout the entire sales process (order, delivery, installation)

o Understand the importance of monthly sales goals and targets

o Prepare competitive bids/quotes for clients on all project sizes

o Demonstrate a sense of urgency by following up on all open quotes and sales leads

o Effectively communicate with multiple departments (Purchasing, Operations, Accounting) to support and troubleshoot all facets of sales orders.

o Convey to client’s accurate product lead times and specify special order requirements, and expediated shipping request to manufacturers

o Attend product trainings and remain current on all products and related promotions

o Respond to all client inquiries within the same business day via phone/email

o Project a professional company image through customer and vendor interactions

Candidate Profile

o Bachelor’s degree preferred

o Previous Sales/Customer Service experience

o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
