Position Summary

• Takeoff Technician, must have a complete understanding and interpretation of civil drawings and Projects. Responsible for accurate takeoff on civil construction projects performing, demolition, earthwork, grading, underground utilities, concrete and paving activities. This position will work with Estimators in preparation of civil estimates.

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual and computerized takeoff for residential and commercial civil construction projects
• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare materials and area takeoffs
• Understanding of the construction process, means and methods.
• Work with the Estimating dept. during takeoff and bid setup through bid submission.
• Perform tasks related to bid and proposal preparation and submission.
• Providing everyday support for the daily operations of our estimating and project management department

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience with computerized takeoff systems using Trimble Business Center, Agtek, Autodesk, or similar is required.
• 1-2 years of civil construction estimating experience using HCSS is preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents, technical specifications, and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) as well as strong overall computer skills is required
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction-related field experience is a plus
• Excellent time-management skills, and a strong multi-tasking ability
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of heavy equipment preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
