As part of the creative services team, the Graphic Designer will fill a key role within the University of Arizona Division of Agriculture, Life & Veterinary Sciences, and Cooperative Extension’s marketing and communications efforts. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design of print and digital marketing communications materials that will enhance and elevate brand storytelling. The Graphic Designer will be required to work within the university’s brand guidelines, using the established color palette, fonts, photography style, and graphic elements. The ideal candidate will be committed to meeting deadlines; have the emotional intelligence to work well with a variety of personality types; and be a team player who is invested in the success of the Division’s students, college, and land-grant mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design print brochures, magazines, annual reports, newsletters, info sheets, and event collateral
• Design social media graphics, web graphics, and digital newsletter graphics, including the creation of infographics, graphic elements, and other imagery to enhance the message
• Edit photographs to correct color, lighting, and other basic issues to improve the quality of the image
• Create UA-branded templates and graphics packages for faculty and staff to use to promote programs, research, and events
• Ensure graphics and logo-use across the Division align with University of Arizona Brand & Marketing guidelines
• Update previously designed materials using InDesign and Illustrator
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools
• Liaise with project teams to ensure deadlines are met
• Photography and/or video production and editing skills
