Cloth & Paper is a retailer of minimal and luxe stationery and planning supplies. Along with a successful e-commerce shop, Cloth & Paper curates two monthly subscription boxes. Our Penspiration Box ships a collection of hard-to-find pens and pencils, while our Stationery Box curates a wide range of planner and office supplies. Both boxes have a passionate and growing following. We have made the Inc. 5000 List for the fastest-growing private companies in America two years in a row, 6th in Virginia and 2nd in Richmond. We are now looking for an enthusiastic Graphic Designer to join our growing creative team. We are currently open to considering a wide base of skill sets and experience levels.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Create and collaborate on new designs for monthly subscription box and e-commerce shop
• Work with manufacturing partners to review and make adjustments to proofs
• Assist with editing marketing materials
• Help with planning future product releases

A strong candidate will have:

• 2-4 years of Graphic Design experience
• Experience in print design
• Knowledge of typography and text composition
• A creative portfolio that demonstrates experience conceptualizing and executing print design
• Understanding of and ability to identify current and future trends in the stationery and/or planner industry
• Understanding of Adobe programs (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
• A collaborative attitude and willingness to be flexible and accommodating in this fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and project management skills with a strength in managing multiple deadlines
• Hard work ethic, desire to learn and grow
• Ambitious, outgoing, self-driven and a joy to work with in a team environment
• Being willing and humble enough to pack an order or sub box from time to time is a huge plus (And sending your finished work directly to a customer is the best part!)

Special consideration will be given to candidates with:

• Photography and retouching skills
• Experience with print pre-production, including working with dielines, prepping files for manufacturing, etc.
• Strong experience in editorial or layout design
• A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent

Hours:
Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30p
Remote work on Tuesday, on-site Mon, Wed, Thurs

Location Requirements:
On-site in Richmond, VA offices

Pay Range:
Starting at $45k annually, open to negotiation considering experience level.
