Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conducts research to support engineering projects. Research will vary by project and engineering discipline but may include review of legal documents, records, maps, and files to establish property ownership, legal descriptions of real property, applicable industry or local standards, etc.
• Interprets instructions, specifications, and other pertinent information and communicates information to staff.
• Conducts complex layout drafting, formulating designs and drawings for various projects.
• Resolves conflicts among owners, contractors, and other parties within scope of authority.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to interpret and communicate engineering plans and specifications.
• Good understanding of engineering design and drafting, and the terms and methods used in engineering procedures.
• Ability to use algebraic formulas, statistical mathematics, and trigonometry tables to accomplish assigned jobs.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
