Director of Human Resources - Full Time Days

This position is accountable for managing the human resources functions for Olean General Hospital including, but not limited to, recruitment, retention, employee relations, labor relations, and all other Human Resources programs. The director must be visible ensure access for all employees notwithstanding their site of work. Is responsible for the timely development, implementation, effective communication and compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures. Oversees department operations including, but not limited to, staffing HR within budgetary constraints, assuring all departmental employees receive adequate training upon hire or transfer and all department employees attend pertinent and mandatory in-services. Assures that departmental practices comply with all internal policies and accreditation/regulatory requirements. Represents OGH in regulatory inquiries, legal actions, and investigations, works to limit organization's exposure and liability including, but not limited to the Federal, NYS DOL, EEOC and OSHA.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management.

Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of human resources experience with at least four (4) of those years in an HR leadership position. Three years (3) of labor relations experience required.

Licensure/Certification: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred.
