Great opportunity to work for an award-winning healthcare company at its Denver home infusion pharmacy. The Delivery Technician compiles ordered pharmaceuticals, supplies and equipment, and delivers those ordered products to patients’ homes in an accurate, courteous, and timely manner. All mileage is reimbursed at standard IRS rate.

*This position requires the use of personal vehicle.*

Must have high school diploma/GED, valid driver's license with an excellent driving record (no disciplinary restrictions), and excellent knowledge of the delivery area. Bilingual preferred.

Major Responsibilities:

• Maintains delivery vehicles in a clean, orderly and safe condition; informs supervisor of any vehicle performance or safety problems; operates vehicle in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations; ensures completion of schedule or necessary maintenance of vehicle.
• Ensures full adherence to policies and procedures, including maintenance of accurate and complete records, in compliance with Federal and State regulations (e.g. FDA, DOT, OSHA), regarding the transport and handling of hazardous and bio-hazardous materials.
• Accepts periodic on-call assignment(s).
• Accurately compiles ordered medication, supplies, equipment and associated documentation in preparation for delivery; obtains supervisory cross-check of accuracy of compiled order.
• Delivers and/or picks up medications, supplies, and equipment to/from patients’ homes and other locations as needed. Delivers controlled substances in a safe and accountable manner.
• Stores/packages medications, supplies and equipment appropriately to preserve product integrity and driver safety during transport. Stores medication appropriately in the home; removes outdated items.
• Organizes delivery routes to meet therapy and patient schedules while maximizing cost-efficiency.
• Performs equipment assembly and set-up in the patient’s home as appropriate; provides patient instruction as appropriate, performs and documents home safety evaluation; completes all associated paperwork and obtains patient signature as needed.
• Cooperates and coordinates with other departments to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of medication, supplies, and equipment.
• Forwards completed paperwork to reimbursement department or designated individual.
• Assists in effective communication between the patient and the company, to include documentation of suggestions, complaints, and requests.
• Assists with various warehousing duties such as shipping, receiving, taking inventory, placing product orders, and general warehouse cleaning and facility maintenance; ensures compliance with policies and procedures for equipment handling, shipping, receiving, ordering, inventory, and safety. Disposes of expired/unusable products.
• Performs equipment cleaning, performance testing, preventative maintenance and when appropriate, repairs; completes and maintains all records associated with equipment tracking, cleaning, testing, and maintenance in accordance with policies and procedures; arranges for outside vendor service for equipment repair, calibration or preventative maintenance as needed.
• Able to lift 20lbs.
• Available to work flexible hours.
• Performs other duties, special tasks/projects as required.
