Driving position for contracted Fedex delivery service (Fedex Ground). Looking for a driver that is already located and living in the Salmon/Challis area or near.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, as well as maneuver, load, and unload packages of the same weight.
• Transport and deliver packages from the main Rigby, ID terminal to businesses and residential homes along an assigned route.
• Follow traffic safety laws, and adhere to all Fedex driving guidelines.
• Obtain customer signatures when required.
• Meet delivery and pickup deadlines
• Perform basic truck maintenance (filling vehicle with gas/diesel daily)
• Communicate with contractor, and other drivers.

Skills

• Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
• High school degree
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Have a good driving record
• Carry a current driver's license
• Ability to stay alert and focused while driving your assigned route
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Communications skills
• Time management skills
• MUST BE RELIABLE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
