Position: Blender

Summary: The Blender’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: de-burring, blending, and cleaning, acid etching, and epoxy repairs minor assembly and disassembly of various engine components in accordance with associated standard practice manuals and maintenance manual instructions. Use of power blending tools riveters, etc.

Essential Functions of the Position:

• Work from verbal instructions, routers, customer specifications and blueprints to layout work and to prepare components for specific coating.
• Visually inspect components for defects, cracks, and unusual conditions.
• Load component into holding fixtures.
• Use hand blending tools
• Perform visual inspection of painted component to ensure coating complies with all specifications and requirements.
• Perform required blending or cleaning following specifications.
• Check supplies and notify supervisor to ensure maintenance of adequate inventory for production requirements.
• Detect faulty operations and materials along with other problems and notify immediate supervisor.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work areas.
• Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations. Wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.
• Actively participate in cross-training, cost savings and team activities to improve processes.
• Maintain appropriate tack and diplomacy in dealings with co-workers, team members and supervisors.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Aerospace industry
• Experience using hand blending tools
• A proven safety record

• Must be able to operate a manual hoist
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs without assistance
• Must be able to use a hand truck or dolly
