Customer Support Engineer or Business Development Manager - Semiconductor Equipment

Job Description

We are seeking Customer Support Engineer or Business Development Manager - Semiconductor Equipment, to join our team, to be responsible for supporting customers in semiconductor fab and equipment industries.

Responsibility

• Managing business development and supporting customers in semiconductor equipment or fabs. Responsibility including RFQ, DMR, and local support, customer support engineer in supporting new product introduction (NPI) engineering projects in vacuum chambers, heaters, pedestals, valves, vacuum robot, showerheads, ESC (e-chuck), ceramic, SiC, vacuum pump, gas box, VMB (valve manifold box), machined parts, frames and assemblies.
• Liason between customers in USA and factories in Asia. Interaction among internal factory, customer, and OEM/AVL suppliers.
• Participate and lead manufacturability review, FMEA, defect analysis, corrective actions.
• Initiate new product concept, present business case including cost, required resource, roadmap, competitive landscape, and return on investment.
• Works with customers for on-site support of measurement, installation, form/fit/function resolution or reworks.
• Pursue and support cost reduction activities to manufacturability optimization.
• Works independently, resolve technical and manufacturing issues without detailed direction, and work as part of a team.
• Reviews and approves Engineering Change Orders (ECO) applicable to product line responsibilities

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment companies, fab or sub-fab. Must have Class 1000 or Class 10000 cleanroom and lab work experience.
• Must have Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in mechanical engineering, material, or electrical engineering.
• Must have 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering form/fit/function design. Familiar with GD&T, FEA, concept and feasibility, design review, alpha & beta testing, reliability testing, testing procedure, testing fixtures, cleaningless and particle testing, vacuum testing, leak testing, thermal analysis, welding, bonding processes, eletrical testing, and manufacturing feasibility review of products and assemblies.
• Familiar 2D/3D CAD, FEA/CFD simulation software or BIM software such as Creo ProE, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Ansys, ACE+, Star-CCM+, etc.
• Experienced in at least one of following products: vacuum chambers, heaters, pedestals, valves, vacuum robot, showerheads, ESC (e-chuck), ceramic, SiC, vacuum pump, gas box, VMB (valve manifold box), machined parts, frames, assemblies used in semiconductor equipment or fabs.
• Ceramic, epoxy, brazing, thermal experience a plus.
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve design and manufacturing related issues and have a thorough understanding of assembly, test & quality methods.
• Prefer prior working experiences in the following companies: Applied Materials (AMAT), Lam Research (LRCX), KLA, Micron, Intel, TSMC, Global Foundry, UCT, Ichor, FM Industries, NGK, Shinko, Kyocera, VAT, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
• Hands-on experience in lab or in field. Multi-tasking ability. Time sensitive attitude.
• At least 30% and up to 50% international travel to Asia is required.
• Regular communication with Asia is expected. English & Mandarin bilingual is a plus.
• Leadership skill and experience.

Office Locations

Santa Clara, California. We adopt hybrid working policy and partially remote from home workable. International travel maybe required.
