Northtech Machine is a supplier of industrial woodworking machinery and equipment. We are a growing, family owned and operated, small business located in Borden, Indiana. We are searching for a Parts Specialist to work within our Machinery Parts and Service Department. This position is responsible for the daily activity of the parts department, and is responsible for communication between customers, local sources, and international factories for parts and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up with several open orders daily both with customer and international factories
• Process all parts orders
• Create quotes, sales orders, and invoices for parts and service sales
• Communicate with customers to gather all information needed to obtain correct parts
• Communicate with suppliers to procure parts
• Generate purchase orders
• Manage parts inventory levels
• Manage Fedex shipping center
• Manage Social media accounts
• Any and all other duties assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 2+ years customer service experience
• Inventory management experience

Attributes

• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong computer skills
• Basic knowledge of office equipment (phone, fax, scanner, printer/copier)
• Strong attention to detail and organization

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to spend majority of the day in a seated position in front of the computer
• From time to time will need to be able to lift parts and packages up to 75lb or greater
• Must be able to stock shelves up to 6ft tall, using ladder if needed
• Position is office based, but often will be in the warehouse

Additional valued skills

• Overall mechanical knowledge of general mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Able to drive a forklift
• Data Entry
• Project Management

Scheduled Shift

• 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Thursday
• 8:00am-4:00pm Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
