Job Title:
Creative Arts Director

Purpose Statement:
The Creative Arts Director is a creative, innovative, forward-thinking, artist who collaboratively translates ideas, concepts, and messages into consistently powerful and engaging artistic expressions for church gatherings.

Reports to:
Lead Pastor

Responsibilities:

• Works with teaching pastor, tech teams, and worship teams to conceptualize and design all creative aspects of church gatherings.
• Plan and execute special services at Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day and other special opportunities to reach the lost throughout the year.
• Cast vision for creating a culture of worship at MissionView Church.
• Research new and viable technologies to enhance livestream, church gatherings and communicate the gospel.
• Recruit, organize, train and cares for worship team members.
• Coordinate and care for sound, lights, media, and livestream leaders.
• Lead worship design meetings weekly.
• Attend weekly leadership meeting.
• Source creative media to enhance church gatherings.
• Conduct auditions regularly.
• Train new leaders for all areas of worship ministry.
• Source or shoot and edit video for ministries, sharing testimonies and the stories of God’s work at MissionView Church.
• Upload weekly sermon excerpt onto social media by Monday afternoon.
• Update podcast weekly.

QUALITIES NECESSARY TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION:

• Professes Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior
• Approachable & Teachable
• Biblically knowledgeable, maturing in the Christian Faith

• Exhibits a personal spiritual life congruent with biblical mandates for leaders

(1 Timothy 3:1-7).

• Should always exhibit professionalism, demonstrated by a conscientious work ethic, willingness to learn new things, accountability, and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills accompanied by a positive attitude.
• Thrives within a team environment, with the pastoral staff, the elders, church staff, administrative team, and volunteers.
• Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision; flexible to changes in procedures and/or direction.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (preferred)

Written review annually by:
Lead Pastor

Work Schedule: 40 hours
Combination of office hours, worship rehearsal, and Sunday services

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
