Your day.

As a Certified Diabetic Educator RN you need to know how to:

• Provide practical education to inpatient diabetic patients and the clinicians caring for them

  
  



• Partner with the outpatient diabetic educator to provide consistent quality outcomes across the continuum of care

  
  



• Organize skill fairs for internal staff to keep them updated on the latest tools and technology used to manage diabetes

  
  



• Promote a learning culture to diabetic patients and internal staff for successful management of the disease

Your Experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• Baccalaureate degree from an Accredited Approved School of Nursing, required



• Current Colorado RN license, required



• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required



• ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service, required



• Minimum of five (5) years of experience, required



• Possess and maintain the Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist certification (CDCES), required



• Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Certification is preferred



• Training, development of clinical staff and/or Preceptor experience is preferred
