Job Title: Cashier/Delivery Driver - non CDL / Customer Service

Status: Part-time

Location: Shrivers Pharmacy-McConnelsville, OH

Reports To: Store Manager

General Summary: A non-exempt, sales clerk position responsible for greeting and assisting customers in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner. This position is also responsible for receiving telephone calls and answering customer inquiries in the same manner. This position also entails pharmacy delivery position duties and is responsible for delivery of pharmaceuticals as well as company products to customers within the company service area. Utilizes company’s vehicle in the performance of job duties and responsibilities.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for maintaining a positive image of the Shrivers Company to customers. This position is one of the faces of Shrivers in the community.
2. Responsible for daily prescription delivery as well as DME items.
3. Responsible for creating, editing and finalizing a courier manifest through RX 30 or current pharmacy information system.
4. Responsible for maintaining vehicle log books.
5. Responsible for vehicle cleanliness and assisting store manager vehicle maintenance.
6. Responsible for knowledge of current paperwork requirements for DME.
7. Other duties as assigned by management.
8. Completes inventory counts and places orders.
9. Greet and serve customers in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
10. Keep assigned area neat and clean as well as stocked and faced.
11. Be able to operate all aspects of the POS system.

12. Accurately make change.

13.Reconcile cash drawers and process change order.14. Reconcile utility bill, gift card receipts, and ATM.15. Be aware of and promote store incentive programs such as Customer Loyalty Card and be able to activate gift cards.16. Process Food Stamps and WIC payments17. Know proper store closing processes including lock up procedure.18. Be able to operate key cutting equipment.19. Other duties as assigned by management.Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: One year experience preferred.

Other Requirements: Vast knowledge of current delivery area.

Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:

Knowledge of roads and landmarks in current delivery area.
Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Knowledge of company’s bloodborne pathogens and proper equipment cleaning procedures.
Knowledge of organization services available to customers.
Knowledge of current laws requiring identification and age verification for the sale of beer, wine, and cigarettes.
Knowledge of product location within the store to be able to direct customers.
Skills:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to use a multi-line phone system, including transferring calls and paging.
Ability to make change accurately.
Ability to learn the proper use of mechanical equipment utilized in this position.
Abilities:

Ability to pass background check and have a clean driving record.
To calm or defuse irate customers by working with them to identify concerns.
To handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
Equipment Operated: Standard retail machines to include POS system, telephones, copy machines, fax machines, digital photo processer (where applicable), lottery machines, key cutting machines (where applicable), and delivery vehicle.

Work Environment: Fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. May require weekend and evening work.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Position requires employee to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Position requires some lifting of heavy equipment.

Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. -8 p.m. Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
