Job Title: Caregiver Compliance Specialist

Job Summary: Coordinates the Home Care Aide (HCA) hiring and selection process and ensures that each new hire receives proper and ample training at the time of orientation; Monitors the utilization of new HCA hours after orientation, and provides support and enrichment to the new-hire experience; Coaches HCAs in crucial employment-related tasks such as Electronic Visit Verification; Enhances and improves the Home Care training process and provides administrative support to the Home Care business as needed.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job:

  • Prepare new-hires for caregiving work by developing and implement an initial training curriculum and facilitating anew-hire orientation; Guide caregivers through basic Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) task completion, Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), and CBA/Employment requirements.
  • Coordinate the Home Care Aide hiring process; Ensure that hiring and interviewing functions run smoothly and efficiently, all while maintaining a hospitable experience for all applicants and candidates; Organize interviews with the Home Care Supervisory Staff and make hiring decisions with their input.
  • Review incoming candidate applications for eligibility, previous training suitability, criminal history disclosure, and licensure;
  • Ensure that all necessary employment documents are accurately completed in accordance with agency procedure and Federal and State statutory law; Coordinate with Human Resources to confirm that all employment paperwork and background checks have been completed quickly and accurately.
  • Track new-hire experience after orientation; Monitor new-hire hours utilization and implement measures to increase hours with Supervisory Staff. 6. Coordinate HCA coaching and retraining with those who are having challenges with EVV and employment compliance; Participate with the Home Care Supervisors in coaching and counseling, employee improvement plans, and disciplinary action if applicable.
  • Create virtual profiles for Home Care Aides in relevant training/scheduling systems; Input, edit, and provide updates in relevant data systems; Document all relevant conversations and interactions in virtual organizational system.
  • Work closely with other HR staff in the organization; Ensure confidentially and HIPAA compliance is maintained with collected staff and/or client information.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS of the job:

  • Complete projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Prioritize a dynamic range of projects, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a professional, compassionate, and respectful environment by practicing good communication while adhering to the appropriate chain-in-command-reporting.
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to travel to multiple offices for in-person work.
  • Regularly present to a small group of people; Aptitude for guiding and training.

Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Must be proficient in MS- office & web navigation.
  • Experience in various HR-Recruiting & informational databases.
