Caregiver / CNA
We are looking for Caregivers to care for our clients in a professional and compassionate manner. It can be a demanding job as you will have to be available for most of the day and week, but it can also be very satisfying and rewarding, because people who are ill, injured, disabled or elderly are thankful for high quality assistance. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients. We are actively filling positions in Columbia, and Irmo/Chapin/Newberry/Walterboro/Orangeburg/Blythewood and surrounding areas. Ask about referral and retention bonuses when you interview.

Responsibilities

• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Perform light housekeeping
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor appointments, walks etc.)
• Help clients with physical therapy exercises
• Plan and prepare meals
• Perform or assist with shopping
• Assist with pet care
• Encourage & assist client with socialization, hobbies, and physical activities
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a caregiver
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Good time management skills. Dependable, punctual
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong work and service ethic
• Physical endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possess a valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance
• Working cell phone with reliable service.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
