Job Description :

Opta’s purpose is to be the leading supplier of performance materials and solutions in the steel, infrastructure, and specialty chemical industries.

The Manager will report directly to the VP Supply Chain, R&D and will be responsible for developing new business opportunities to expand and build Opta’s presence in both the foundry and non-ferrous industries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, specifically in both the foundry and non-ferrous industries. This task may involve collaboration with established partners in these industries.
  • Manage existing customer relationships directly or through Opta's CSR network.
  • Build and expand the company’s presence and its brands in untapped regions and markets.
  • Drive company business and revenue creation in alignment with company’s vision while supporting commercial strategic initiatives
  • Conduct specific market studies which include assessing competitive landscape and analyze end user markets
  • Determine and define channels for market entry, go-to-market strategy, purpose, and value proposition in all regions that Opta’s complete product portfolio can be established or supported
  • Track new markets and emerging trends
  • Recommend new products and services, demonstrate thorough knowledge of all product families and services provided
  • Propose and develop strategic partnerships, create paths that feed long-term commercial objectives
  • Establish justification for operational expansion when required to support regional markets
  • Assess and develop new supply opportunities and channels
  • Work closely with regional sales and product development teams
  • Provide and coordinate technical assistance to existing & prospective customers as required
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales Management, or Marketing; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ related work experience in commercial space, preferably serving industrial markets
  • Demonstrated proficiency developing and executing end-user market analysis and promotion strategies
  • Excellent communication skills/ multi-lingual preferred
LOCATION: Home office, otherwise international. Travel as required (estimated 50-75%)
