JOB DESCRIPTION
A top pharmaceutical company located in MA is looking for a Business Analyst/Product Owner to come onsite in Norwood, MA. This resource will sit in the Technical Development group that is focused on Small Molecules and Lipid labs on the digital side. The BA will gather requirements from the scientist themselves and find the need behind their requests. The BA will go beyond requirement gathering, but instead bridge the gap between science and digital, so it is essential that he/she analyze each requirement. The BA will also conduct process mapping for scientific business processes. The team is working to manage the deployment of Commercial Off the Shelf Software solutions, working collaborate with infrastructure and IT Teams. The BA will also document user stories and pain points, experience collaborating with technical teams to define functional requirements. The BA must be able to work on multiple projects at any given time that have their own release and delivery timelines. The BA must also define, measure, and track performance indicators for scientific processes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst or Product Owner or Product Analyst
- 5+ years working in the pharma/biotech space
- Experience working with scientists in the labs to gather requirements or was a scientist themselves at one point
- Small Molecules / Lipids experience (below for context)
- Experience with structural elucidation specifically mass spectrometry
- Familiarity with chemical structures and properties
- Working knowledge:
2) Agilent Masshunter software
3) Waters Empower
4) MassSpec libraries and databases such as Ometa Labs (Flow), ACD labs, or MestreLab Mnova
- Experience with chemometrics
DESIRED SKILLS
- Familiarity with SmartSheet specifically the Work Apps functionality
- Experience with mRNA science and/or early drug development processes is ideal
- Ability to derive scientific context from large data set
Nice to have Lab Automation experience.
- Knowledge on capabilities + limitations of Hamilton liquid handlers and related equipment
- Ability to understand the science behind assays and bring up suggestions for automation.
