Accounts Receivable Specialist
Steiner Atlantic, Worldwide Laundry & Industrial Laundry Services are three Florida subsidiaries under one administration umbrella. These companies are part of the laundry industry; we offer a range of products all related to the industry, from Industrial Equipment, Vending Equipment, Parts, Services and more. We are seeking a skilled, experienced accounts receivable (AR) Specialist to join our growing organization. In this position, you will play a critical role in managing and recording the money owed to our company. You will assist in ensuring that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients. You will process customer payments, as well as being responsible of reconciling the accounts and maintaining the customer aging.

AR Specialist Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Generates Statement of Accounts according to company practices; submits monthly to customers.
• Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
• Owns and maintains customer aging report.
• Presents aging progress and escalates accounts to management
• Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
• Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
• Researches and reconciles customer discrepancies and past-due amounts
• Escalates unreconciled balances or other at-risk customer scenarios to the Accounts Receivable Manager for guidance or further instructions on how to resolve.
• Reconciles accounts receivable-GL on a periodic basis (Monthly or sooner).
• Assists Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
• Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
• Works proactively with billing department.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as Business Central or other accounting software programs.
• Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least one year of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• 100% Onsite

The role is temp to hire in Miami Gardens, with an 8:30-5:00 schedule, 30minute lunch. Overtime is sometimes needed to complete backlog, meet deadlines and complete month end close task.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $55,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
