Job Purpose

An Accounting Specialist is responsible for Collections, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Account Reconciliation, and Monthly Financial Reporting.

He/She provides excellent customer service to our clients, contractors, and vendors; produces quality, accurate work while maintaining efficiency and follows the standards of practice set in place by Central Oregon Garage Door.

The Accounting Specialist is able to manage high volume/fast paced AR & AP, extremely detail oriented, highly proficient in data entry, experienced with the use of Quickbooks and Excel, organized, possess the ability to analyze situations and solve problems; is experienced with developing and maintaining person to person relationships, communicates well with the team, takes direction well, and provides feedback for improvement.

This position also serves as back up to our customer service: This entails answering and directing incoming phone calls, customer service, scheduling service calls.

Responsibilities

1. Provides the highest standard of service to our clients, contractors, and vendors.

2. Accounts Receivable: Collections and Aging report management, Daily invoicing; Check payment and credit card processing; Lien notifications.

3. Accounts Payable: Invoice entry; Processing check runs; Corporate credit card payments; EFT and ACH payments; Maintain vendor payment schedule.

4. Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly financial reports for senior management team. Manage financial records

Specific Measures of Success

1. A/R Invoicing: Invoices are correct and completed daily.

2. A/R Aging: Accounts are in good standing and collection efforts are being made daily.

3. A/P Invoicing: All invoices are entered following the vendor payment schedule and all discounts for on time payments are earned.

4. Communication: Clear and effective communication with fellow employees, management, customers, and vendors.

Wage range is DOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
