Growing photonics company looking for person to fulfill accounting/bookkeeping and customer service needs. Primary responsibilities include:

· Reconciling credit card and bank statements.

· Prepare and file monthly sales tax as-required in approximately 30-40 states

· Assist with preparation and review of quarterly financials working with senior accounting staff to close books and prepare reports.

· Accounts Payable review and processing

· Sending invoices and receiving payments, including processing credit card payments.

· Working with customers via email and phone to establish accounts and collect payments.

Other duties include, but are not limited to:

· Process employee expense reports

· Support Operations and Order Entry

· Miscellaneous administrative and logistical duties

· Organizing office, lab and storage areas

· Quarterly Inventory

· Answering phone

Being a small company, we all wear multiple hats, requiring our employees to be versatile. This position will require 30+ hours per week.

The successful candidate will have at least three years of relevant work experience, with a strong preference towards a candidate with a four-year college degree in business/accounting or other relevant discipline. Work experience in high tech industry, and familiarity with QuickBooks, is also preferred. Candidate must have a high attention to details, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation: $25 - $28 per hour, plus benefits. Flexible work environment, with options to work remotely part-time.
