Accounting Assistant

Location: Langley, WA

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT NECESSARILY BE LIMITED TO:

• Maintains and updates G/L account codes as needed.
• Responsible for monthly recurring J/E’s, depreciation & inter-company accounts.
• Reconciles G/L account balances and all bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for preparing monthly Balance Sheet reports.
• Updates monthly KPI’s.
• Prepares & files monthly and quarterly taxes (State, Federal, Excise).
• Responsible for insurance claim reporting and renewal calculations.
• Prepares bank covenant calculations.
• Prepares reports & payments for unclaimed property.
• Updates Misc. Receivables and A/R.
• Backup for Revenue Coordinator.
• Backup for Accounts Payable.
• Reviews and closes Work Orders.
• Prepares ad hoc reports as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• AA degree in finance/accounting OR equivalent experience with a sound understanding of accounting principles.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Telecommunications background preferred.
• Proficient with accounting and/ERP systems.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Valid WA driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Pre-employment and on-going drug screens required.
• Background and credit check required.
• Must be eligible to work in the USA.
• Must be able to work remotely and onsite as needed.

Salary Range - $23.00-35.00 per hour

Salary ranges are based on available market data for the business sector and geographic location.
