Company is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join the team for this full-time permanent position located in Mundelein Illinois. This position will support the Director of Finance and Administration with personnel, administrative, and human resource activities.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and maintain management reports using various Microsoft Office applications to support management, staff, and departmental needs.
• Assist with accounts receivable to include creating and submitting invoices
• Assist with processing weekly payroll for multiple locations
• Provide support with HR functions to include; pre-screening calls, maintaining personnelfiles, employee benefit coordination, and ACA reporting.
• Manage and facilitate yearly insurance and union audits

Competencies:

• 5+ years’ experience in an Accounting role preferred
• Candidate must be highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills
• Be able to work independently
• Must have strong analytical and organizational skills, and also possess the ability tomanage multiple tasks at one time.
• Strong attention to detail with proactive approach to problem solving
• Excellent typing and computer skills including proficiency in: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Basic knowledge of QuickBooks and ADP would be helpful
